The Latino Medical Student Association (LMSA) is composed primarily of Latino and other medical students interested in Latino health issues and culture. The goals of this organization are to promote the advancement of Latinos in academic, clinical, and community medicine and to enhance awareness within the medical school of health disparities that impact the well-being of minority populations. In addition, LMSA seeks to improve the health status of these populations through training and community outreach.
