Justin Sonnenburg on "The Good Gut"

Stanford professors Justin and Erica Sonnenburg’s book, "The Good Gut," takes you inside the world of microbiota, the 100 trillion bacteria that make up our gut and define whether we’re healthy or not. They argue in the book that because of our changes in diet,  overuse of antibiotics and the frenzy of oversterilization, our gut microbiota is facing a “mass extinction event”. In this podcast, Justin Sonnenburg, PhD, an associate professor of microbiology and immunology, discusses how the world of microbes and bacteria interplay with human health.
