Dr. Wu's Stem Cell Research Brings Personalized Medicine Closer

Joseph Wu, MD, PhD, is the Simon H. Stertzer, MD Professor of Medicine (Cardiology) and Radiology, and the Director of the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute. Dr. Wu has managed to coax induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells into beating heart cells which may lead the way to cheaper, faster drug testing and personalized medicine. His research has been highlighted in OZY under the section "Rising Stars".
