Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) Open School

  • IHI Open School offers dozens of courses. These are free for residents, fellows, and faculty members. Completion of certain courses can lead to a Basic Certificate in Quality & Safety. CME credits are available.

ASA Guide

American Society of Anesthesiologists Guide

The ASA Committee on Quality Management & Departmental Administration (QMDA) created the GADA to assist practices in developing local policies and complying with various federal regulations and accreditation organization requirements. Topics include, but are not limited to, department administration, safety culture, quality program development, accreditation resources, resources on distractions and fatigue, physician re-entry to practice and the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' (CMS) Conditions of Participation and its hospital interpretive guidelines (IGs). For each topic, members will have access to summary descriptions, discussions on best practices and reference links to relevant regulatory documents and publications.
